Blog Entry... another dayApr 3, '08 12:13 AM
for everyone

It has been a week of highs and lows so far. Monday was one of those days when you wonder at least a few times through the day if it was wise to get out of bed. Murphy was having a ball at our expense. We did our big grocery shopping... an odious task on its own. Throw Murphy's law into the mix and you have an event. All the way through the supermarket, we fell over packers and their boxes and those huge trolleys they favour. They were astounded that we actually wanted to pass and weren't prepared to walk around to the next isle to get back to where we needed to be. Cheek... how could we? It was one of those days when you're pretty much guaranteed to spill your food down the front of your clothes while out. We beat the delivery van home, so we were ready and waiting when they arrived. We rushed out to fetch the groceries and Tat hooked on the door, ripping the sleeve of her only t-shirt from Lithuania. A few of the packages broke on the way in and so on and so on... you get it. It was a good mail day though, as I received a belated (thanks to the post office) birthday gift from a dear friend. Go chocolate! That perked us up no end ; )

I stayed up late on Monday night to set up April fool's. I sabotaged Jorge and Tat's pc's... silly things like switching mouse buttons, changing screen resolutions and fonts, etc. I taped Jorge's toilet seat down with clear packing tape and taped the toilet paper in the other bathroom closed. Yes, I have an evil streak. And........ I hid the hairbrush!! *grins* Poor Tat got the brunt of my pranks, as Jorge is in the middle of a job and needs to concentrate. As if the brush weren't enough, I put lemon juice into her water bottles with hilarious consequences. Jorge got us both because when we woke up, our keyboards had been switched - again! He did the same thing last year. This year, though, he blocked the sensors on our mice. No matter how much we moved the mice, we got no reaction. That one had me foxed. It was a fun day... filled with laughter.

Yesterday was a blah day and today... well, today was just that much more blah. I have not been sleeping well. My speakers aren't playing nice, so I haven't been able to call Fel, which is frustrating us both. She finds it so hard to write, so she depends on the calls. I need to go into town to get new speakers and I'm avoiding it and then feeling guilty because I'm avoiding it. Actually, I'm avoiding doing a whole lot of things... you know that procrastination thing... ?

Ah well, tomorrow is a bright new day. I think I'll hit my head against the wall and possibly sleep more soundly... think it will work? The photo reminded me of this song...

It was my theme song during a few of my Troubled Teen years. It fits my mood tonight too. I seem to pick it up periodically and don it like an old favourite coat.

... for those who find Imeem doesn't load
